Privacy and Data Collection Policy
Who we are
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
(NOTE: Comments are currently turned off on this website but may be turned on at any point.)
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you subscribe to our email list, we collect your name and email address in order to communicate with you. Our email sign-up process requires a double opt-in to ensure you wish to receive communications from us. Personally Identifiable Information refers to information that tells us specifically who you are, such as your name and email address. Downloading information or logging in may allow the Company to “recognize” you to allow us to personalize our service for you.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Who we share your data with
We do not share or sell your information to other companies who would then market to you. For our Clients, we use personal information mainly to provide the services and to contact our clients regarding account activities, new version, and product offerings, or other communications relevant to the services. - This website is built on a WordPress platform; by default WordPress does not share any personal data with anyone.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
If you’re on our mailing list, we retain your data indefinitely 1) to communicate with you until you choose to unsubscribe and 2) for analytical purposes unless you request we delete your information.
We maintain anonymized analytics reports indefinitely.
We maintain financial records generally for seven years, for tax purposes.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
You can choose to unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time. There is an unsubscribe button on every email sent via Constant Contact. If you have trouble with it, contact us directly and we can unsubscribe you manually. We will remove or delete any data we can, subject to any legal or tax recordkeeping requirements.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
We send data only to the service providers mentioned above. We are a very small company and try to choose reputable providers with strong data protection practices.
This policy was last updated on September 24, 2018. Technical and legal standards keep evolving, so as we learn more about how to do this well, this policy may be updated from time to time without notice. Feel free to check back as often as you like.
Right to be forgotten
Under the GDPR every client could request “to be forgotten”, meaning all their data has to be deleted and never used again, except in certain circumstances, which may include having to keep processing your personal information to comply with a legal obligation. An example of such obligation is the requirement to keep a copy of all invoices to comply with financial and tax legislation.
If you have any questions or concerns about your data, feel free to contact us.
